The Solstice Spotlight

At Solstice Java and Steep, we believe that true balance means lifting up the world around us.  A perfect cup of coffee or tea shouldn't just fuel your morning routine, it should ignite positive change right here at home. 

This is why I created The Solstice Spotlight, the signature community impact program dedicated to pouring vital care, hope, and resources directly back into the hands of local heroes, organizations, and families. 

What It Looks Like and How We Measure the Seasons

Just like our brand, this program moves in perfect harmony with the celestial calendar.  We align our giving cycles with the true four seasons of the year, rotating our focus at each major equinox and solstice:

  • Spring: Launching at the Vernal Equinox in March, our spring spotlight focuses on renewal, fresh beginnings, and growth across our communities. 
  • Summer: Beginning at the Summer Solstice in June, this cycle captures the vibrant, energetic spirit of the sun, fueling community-wide engagement. 
  • Fall: Stepping into place at the Autumn Equinox in September, our fall spotlight mirrors the harvest season, focusing on gathering resources and cultivated deep community care. 
  • Winter: Commencing at the Winter Solstice in December, our winter cycle brings warmth, comfort, and critical support to our neighbors during the coldest months of the year.

Every season we select one remarkable charity, nonprofit, or grassroots organization to step into The Solstice Spotlight.  We use our platform to share their incredible stories, highlight the vital work they do, and champion their mission to our entire Solstice family for that full 3-month timeframe.

Whether it is supporting our local veterans, feeding families in need, empowering the next generation, or supporting our furry friends, we are ALWAYS taking your suggestions!

How It Works

Making an impact is built right into your daily brew.  We make it completely effortless for you to give back: 

  • A Percentage of Every Bag: A direct portion of the proceeds from every single bag of coffee and tea you purchase goes straight into a dedicated fund for our seasonal spotlight donation, 
  • Seamless at checkout: Whenever you shop with us online, you will have the option to add a direct donation or round up your change to further fuel their mission. 
  • 100% Local Impact: At the end of the season, we package up 100% of those collected funds and deliver them to the organization, ensuring your morning ritual drives tangible, real-world change.
