For those who seek absolute depth and an uncompromising, velvety intensity, this stands as our most dramatic expression of the roaster's art.  This exquisite Italian Roast begins with premium beans selected from the high-altitude estates of Central America.  Through a masterfully prolonged, high-heat roasting process, we intentionally transcend the traditional origin characteristics, transforming the beans into a striking, extra-dark roast adorned with a beautiful, glossy sheen of natural essential oils.

By pushing the roast to this luxurious zenith, sharpness and acidity are completely dissolved, leaving behind a remarkably smooth, heavy body of pure, concentrated coffee flavor.  The cup opens with a commanding, smoky elegance, unfolding into deep notes of caramelized molasses, charred oak, and a lingering, bittersweet cocoa finish.
